Denim Production and Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate production flow and WIPs
• Support in the sourcing and re-sourcing of fabric, trims, and factories
• Oversee fabric and trim buy dates, and follow up with manufacturers of each on deliverables to the full-package vendors
• Coordinate and conduct proper testing during the development phase on all fabrics for tear and tensile, trims for colorfastness, and styles for “recovery” and “wear” each season
• Formalize a wear test process
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams throughout development and through to production to ensure deliverables are met with quality product
• Manage and track development dates
• Manage denim PD calendar while aligning key dates with mainline
• Communicate regularly with overseas factories regarding progress and status of development
• Issue SMS POs to factories
• Track SMS and communicate status with all cross functional partners
• Manage, communicate, and track all new development including fabrics and trims
• Additional responsibilities as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience specializing in Denim Production and/or Product Development
• Experience and existing relationships with overseas factories and vendors
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially pertaining to Excel
• Very strong organizational skills with high attention to detail are an absolute must for this role
• Ability to efficiently prioritize a demanding workload and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities
• Collaborative by nature; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners
